Similarity:
Both the vascular system of a plant and the circulatory system of an animal transport essential substances. In plants, the vascular system moves water and nutrients from the roots to other parts of the plant. In animals, the circulatory system moves blood, which carries oxygen and nutrients to cells throughout the body.
Difference:
A key difference is that the vascular system in plants (which includes xylem and phloem) does not have a pump. Water is mostly moved by evaporation and root pressure. In contrast, the circulatory system in animals has a heart that pumps blood throughout the body.
