A cookie sheet measures 13 x 9 inches. If each cookie has a diameter of 3 inches, how many cookies could fit on the sheet? You need to allow for 1/4 inch around each cookie.

9 / 3.5 = 2.6 = 2 across

13 / 3.5 = 3.7 = 3 down

2 * 3 = 6 cookies
