Ethanol is

a. soluble in water not soluble in hexane because the OH is polar.
b. soluble in hexane but not soluble in water because it is a hydrocarbon.
c. soluble in water and soluble in hexane because it has a nonpolar hydrocarbon part and a polar OH.

I think it is b, but really am not sure. I don't even know how I would know that unless I tested it. ? please help, thanks
