A Day in the Park

Yesterday, I visited the Grand Central Avenue Park with my friend Adele. The park spreads over 30 acres and is well laid out with a play area, a jogging track, and many attractions. It offers interesting things for people of all age groups. It has many artificial ponds and a lake. At one end of the park, there is a castle called the "Edwardian Castle" where people can have a grand view of the whole city. Another favorite with everyone is the statue of Lido the cat situated at the edge of the lake. The park also hosts a fountain called the "Moonside Fountain," which is supposed to be the largest fountain in the country.
During our visit, we saw some people sitting on the benches and enjoying the weather. My favorite spot in the park was the path lined with the beautiful cherry blossom trees. The trees and their flowers smiled at me as they happily spread their sweet scent throughout the park. The air was cool and fresh, and I could hear the birds twittering sweetly above. I was glad that I stayed so close to the park and wondered why I had not explored it yet.
