If a primary consumer, like a rabbit or a deer, is removed from an ecosystem, it can lead to some big changes. Without these animals, the plants they eat might start to grow too much, which can overcrowd the area and harm other plants. This imbalance can also affect the predators that rely on those primary consumers for food, potentially leading to their decline as well. Over time, the whole food chain could be disrupted, resulting in an unhealthy ecosystem.
