It says to write the balanced equation for the complete combustion of cyclobutanol in Oxygen. I'm not even sure what the product is supposed to look like so how can I balance the equation? Please help.

C4H8O + O2 ---> C4H8O

The combustion products for hydrocarbons and oxygenated hydrocarbons are CO2 and H2O. Then you balance from there. Try it. It's relatively easy. So you want
C4H8O + O2 ==> CO2 + H2O.
Then balance.

So, 2C4H8O + 11O2 ---> 8CO2 + 8H2O

Is that right?
