Throughout this unit, I found the exploration of cognitive biases and their impact on decision-making to be particularly fascinating. It was intriguing to see how our thought processes can be influenced by various psychological factors, which often leads us to make irrational choices. However, I struggled with the mathematical concepts surrounding probability and how they relate to these biases; at times, the calculations felt overwhelming. Engaging in collaborative activities, such as group discussions and case studies, significantly aided my understanding, as sharing different perspectives often clarified complex ideas. I believe I still need more practice with probability problems, especially in how to apply them in real-life situations. Now that I have a clearer grasp of the material, I would like to ask how we can effectively mitigate the effects of these biases in our everyday decision-making processes.
