Ragweed pollen has a diameter of about 2.3x10(exponent -5)meters. Under a microscope the pollen appears to have a diameter of 2.3x10(exponent -2) meters. how many TIMES larger is the magnified image under the microscope?

Divide the apparent size (2.3x10^-2 m) by the actual size (2.3x10^-5 m). That ratio is the magnification.
