It was the day I had waited for since my parents first told me that I was going to have a baby brother. (2) I have always been the only child and gotten everything that I’d ever wanted. (3) To say the least I have mixed emotions about my new baby brother. (4) On one hand, I am excited to finally have someone to play with instead of sitting around with my lame parents all the time. (5) On the other hand, I am going to have to compete for my parents’ time and money. (6) I am either going to love this new addition nor despise what he will take from me. (7) However, today all my hesitations were put to rest when I first laid eyes on its precious little face. (8) He looked up at me with his squinty eyes, and I instantly fell in love. (9) I knew from that moment that nothing was ever going to be the same. (10) My new venture was that of big brother and I was ready to accept the challenge.
