Doing my work in English Language Arts (ELA) is super important for a bunch of reasons. First off, ELA helps me improve my reading and writing skills, which are essential not just for school, but for life too! When I focus on my ELA assignments, I'm learning how to express my thoughts clearly and understand different texts better. This will help me in the future, whether I'm writing a paper for high school or even just writing a post on social media. Plus, when I get into the habit of staying on task, I feel a sense of accomplishment that motivates me to keep going. It’s way more rewarding to finish my ELA work knowing that I put in the effort and did a good job!
On the other hand, getting distracted and switching to math work isn’t the best idea for me. I like math, but if I keep jumping between subjects, I won’t really get the chance to dive deep into ELA and make the most of it. I end up wasting time trying to switch my brain around instead of just staying focused. Also, if I don't do my ELA assignments, I could fall behind and struggle later on when it really matters. So, it’s better for me to stick with my ELA work, stay on task, and develop my skills. When I focus and push through, I know I’ll be able to do my best, and that’s what counts!
