lim as t approaches 1 of (t^3+5t^2-13t+7)/(t^3-3t+2)

Evaluate expression by direct substitution. If it results in 0/0, factorize both numerator and denominator.
If there are common factors, they can be safely cancelled out.
Re-evaluate the simplified expression which should be the limit if the result is not 0/0.
In this particular case, after factorization and cancelling, I get 8/3 as the limit.
