During my Snow Day Break, I took advantage of the unexpected time off to relax and catch up on some much-needed rest. I spent the first day cozying up with a stack of books I had been meaning to read, while the snow fell gently outside. The following day, I ventured out to build a snowman with my neighbors and engaged in some exhilarating snowball fights. In the evenings, I enjoyed hot cocoa and watched classic winter movies with my family, creating a warm and festive atmosphere.
Regarding whether students should have to make up missed days, I believe it depends on the circumstances. If the canceled days significantly disrupt the learning process and curriculum pacing, then making them up might be necessary to ensure all students acquire the required knowledge and skills. However, if the missed days occur during a time when not much curriculum progress is expected, considering the well-being of students and the opportunity to recharge can also be important. Ultimately, finding a balance between maintaining academic rigor and recognizing the value of downtime is key.
