I am nit sure where to start.

volume percent is mL solute/100 mL total soln.
12.5% v/v = 12.5 mL Merlot/100 mL soln or
mL solute/mL soln = fraction.
mL solute/750 = 0.125
mL solute = 750 x 0.125 = ??
Check it to make sure it is right; i.e.,
(93.75 mL Merlot/750)*100 = 12.5%. OK.
You want the water, not the Merlot.
So if 93.75 mL = Merlot then 750-93.75 = mL H2O.
