Determine an equation of the following line.
The line parallel to x+3=0 and passing through (-6, -7)
How would I solve this if there's no y variable? Please help, thanks.

x + 3 = 0 is a vertical line through x = -3 , y = 0
y can be anything along that line.
The equation of a parallel vertical line through (-6,-7) would be x = -6
y can be anything along that line.
The equation of a parallel vertical line through (-6,-7) would be x = -6
