Sorry, I did not realize that the numbers have not been put in order!
Instead of
.5, .25, .35, .50, .70
it should be put in order as:
0.25, 0.35, 0.5, 0.50, 0.70

So the median is the middle number of the five, or 0.5.

The upper quartile is the middle number of the upper half, {0.5, 0.50, 0.70} and your answer of 0.50 is still correct.


For the first quartile, you need to find the median (middle number) of the lower half of the numbers, {0.25, 0.35, 0.5}, so 0.35 is also correct.
