With two unknowns, you need more information. You do not even have one equation using x and y. You cannot find out what x equals unless you have an equation. For example:
7y-2x-5=0
Get the other terms on the opposite side of the equation: subtract 7y and add 5 to both sides.
-2x = 5-7y
Divide both sides by -2.
x = (5-7y)/-2 = 3.5y-2.5
