i got two answers but i want to make sure. is it 4 or 8?
Answered by Reiny
makes no difference which you do first
10 - 4 + 2
= 6 + 2
= 8

or

10 - 4 + 2
= 10 + 2 - 4
= 12 - 4
= 8

How could you get 4 ?

You must be thinking of 4+2=6
10-6=4
but it's -4
so -4+2=-2
10-2=8.
