In Afghanistan, one goal was to stop bad people, like the Taliban, from hurting others and to help make the country safer. A big challenge was that even after a lot of fighting, it was hard to keep peace and help the Afghan people rebuild their lives. In Iraq, a main goal was to prevent a dangerous leader, Saddam Hussein, from using weapons that could hurt a lot of people, but a challenge was that many people in Iraq disagreed about how to run their country after he was gone.
