To members of staff that enter the cleanroom,

1) You may no longer use any cosmetics in the cleanroom. You must clean off face powder, eye shadow, mascara, and lipstick before entering. Non-oil-based lotions are acceptable but should be used before you enter the main area.

2) No cologne, perfume, hair spray, hair gel, or fingernail polish may be worn. This is to prevent contamination of the product.

3) Your fingernails must not go more than .25 of an inch past the fingertips. Your fingernails cannot punch through your gloves.

4) The only metal jewelry that is now allowed inside the cleanroom is a wedding band. Wristwatches, earrings, bracelets, and other rings are not allowed. If the wedding band is not smooth, nylon gloves must be worn under vinyl gloves.

Sincerely,

Kurt Grohl,
Supervisor, Facilities Management
