You have to specify degree in x, or degree in y. In the first, in x it is degree 3 with a leading coefficent of 4. In y it is degree 3, with leading coefficnet 1.
On the second, it is degree 5 in x, leading coefficnet -1, but in y, it is degree 4, leading coefficent 1.
