Could someone check this for me please?

The equation is 2/x+3 = 4/x+7, and I think the answer is x=1, I just need help showing the steps of how to get there if anyone knows?

cross-multiply (in effect multiply each side by (x+3)(x+7)

4x+12 = 2x+14
2x = 2
x = 1
