It seems to me that the antagonist is poverty. Check this review for more information.

this does not seem to help much...i need to know what the conflict of the whole book is...not just their family....

i also need to know if there is a antogonist in this book.

please help :(

I still believe the antagonist is poverty, not a person. Raspberry and her mother are struggling against poverty and becoming homeless.

ok...so would the conflict be that they find their stuff missing one day and must leave and live on the streats as they did before because of money problems???
Answered by Ms. Sue
The conflict is the struggle to keep their home and have enough money to live on.
Answered by amanda
ok....

so is that considered internal or external?
Answered by amanda
also would that be man vs. society.. or what would it be??
Answered by Ms. Sue
It's an external conflict -- man vs. society.
