I don't understand your problem. You have the numbers to substitute. T must be converted to Kelvin. You have one unknown. You are having trouble with what?

yes i need to fill in the unknown

Solve the equation. PV = nRT

i got 55.5. is that correct?

I don't get 55.5 with the data shown. What did you get for T? It should be 273+141. Another problem. The initial post has nothing about R (a constant = 0.08206). That is a part of the PV = nRT equation but I don't see R anywhere.
(5.08)(V) = 2.00(0.08206)(273+141).
Solve for V. And look to see if you just omitted R in the original post or did the person making the problem omit it? In any event, volume doesn't mean much without that in the equation.

thank you!
but where did 273 come from?
Answered by DrBob222
T is 141 C in the problem. In pV = nRT, T is in Kelvin. To convert celsius to Kelvin, the formula is 273 + C = 273 + 141 = 414 K.
