( from the previous chemistry question)hydration just means H2O would attach to the ions, right? would the H2O attach to the -F to form larger molecules? how does the entropy change from that?

H^+ forms the H3O^+. A forms the
A<sup>-</sup>(H2O)<sub>x</sub>. Then these ions and ion clusters are dipoles which attract other ions/molecules as well as the solvent molecules themselves. All of this lends itself to fewer particles and fewer microstates possible.
