In the small town of Willow Creek, an old, abandoned house stood at the edge of the woods. The townsfolk whispered about it, claiming that strange noises echoed from within at night. No one dared to go near, except for a curious group of friends looking for a thrill. One chilly evening, they decided to explore the house, armed with only flashlights and their bravado.
As they entered, the door creaked loudly, as if warning them to turn back. Dust covered the floors, and shadows danced in the corners of the dim light. They wandered from room to room, laughter filling the air until they stumbled upon a mirror, cracked and darkened with age. As they gathered around it, they saw not just their reflections, but behind them, something shifting and moving—a figure cloaked in darkness, watching them silently.
Panic took over, and the friends raced back to the entrance, but the door slammed shut with a deafening bang. They pounded on it, screaming for help, but outside, the world had gone eerily quiet. The figure in the mirror grew closer, its breath cold against the back of their necks. As the lights flickered and finally went out, the last thing they heard was a whisper saying, “You’ll never leave.”
