Her heart sank, literally falling to the soles of her feet, when she realized the error she had made in haste. Now, she knew it was simply inevitable that she would be tardy to her most important meeting of the day. But then, just as quickly as she sunk into the depths of despair, she had another sudden realization. She didn’t need to wait for the next train. Her problem would easily be solved by splurging for a taxi, which she gladly did as soon as she pushed her way off the train at the next station.
