Reflecting on this unit, I found the exploration of communication theories particularly intriguing. Understanding how different models explain the complexities of human interaction opened my eyes to the nuances behind everyday conversations. However, I struggled with the application of some of these theories in practical scenarios, especially in distinguishing between verbal and non-verbal communication cues. The group discussions and role-playing activities were especially helpful; they allowed me to see these theories in action, enhancing my comprehension through real-world examples. Moving forward, I believe I need more practice analyzing case studies to deepen my understanding of how these concepts manifest in various contexts. As we approach the assessment, I’d like to ask how we can further integrate these theories with current technological influences on communication, as I think this will be crucial for our evaluations.
