How Can I Advertise with Google Docs?
Required Materials
Google Docs (requires login)
In this unit, you have learned all things word processing! Now, it’s time to put your skills to use by creating a fun advertisement.

Step 1: Brainstorm
Imagine that you are a small business owner, and you need to do some advertising. Your task is to use Google Docs to create a poster highlighting a product or event. For example, if your small business is a shoe store, you might create an advertisement for a popular new shoe. Or if you own a music shop, you might make a poster for an upcoming music concert.

Step 2: Get Creative
Sign in to Google Docs and create a new blank document. Give it a title in the upper-left corner, and then get creative! Your advertisement should have the following features:

A background color or image (Make sure it is light enough so that your content is visible on top.)
A hyperlink (Be sure to apply it to text so that the URL is not visible.)
Margins set to 0.5” on all sides
Text that is appropriately sized, spaced, and colored
Step 3: What to Submit
Submit a link to your Google Doc advertisement by clicking the blue Share button in the top right. Keep the access as Restricted. Submit the link to the dropbox.
