Mexico ceded_____ of its territory to the U.S as part of the Mexican Cession

Mexico ceded approximately half of its territory to the United States as part of the Mexican Cession, which occurred following the Mexican-American War. This cession included present-day California, Nevada, Utah, Arizona, and parts of Colorado and New Mexico, as well as small portions of Wyoming and Kansas. The land transfer was formalized in the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo, signed in 1848.
