A vase had 4 yellow flowers, 4 red flowers and 8 blue flowers. Donna takes one out, smells it and returns it to the vase. What is the probabilty she picked a red flower? What is the probabilty she picked a blue flower?

Is it red 4:16 and blue 8:16?

Yes, except reduce your probabilities to lowest terms
P(red) = 4/16 = 1/4
P(blue) = 8/16 = 1/2
