There are 4 six-packs of soda in a case. Chris bought 1/2 of a case and gave 1/3 of what he had to Dana. How many cans of soda does Chris have left?

Half a case has two six packs in it, and that means 12 cans. Chris gives 1/3 of his 12 cans to Dana, which means he gave away 4.
