Density is another property of matter. Oftenly we describe density as the mass per unit volume of a substance. It is a constant property of a subtance no matter how much of the subtance is present. There is no device to measure density- it can only be calculated. The following formula can be used: density = mass over volume

My mistake. We oftenly describe density as the "heaviness" of a substance. It is th mass per unit volume of a substance.
