Hi, I asked about converting light minutes to light years and was told just do it normally like minutes to years


So i have 7 light minutes...

7 mins x (1 hr/60 mins) x (1 day/12 hr) x (1yr/365days)

like that?

No, you have to use 24 hour days.

There are 60x24x365 = 525,600 minutes in a year, and 525,600 light minutes in a light year. The last two are measures of distance.

If you were converting 7 light minutes to light years, you would divide 7 by 525,600.
