Question
Plastic Bottle
by A. Gautam
My form is simply boring
I want to be elastic—
I hate to be just storing.
I'm tired of being plastic.
They do not recycle me.
I am left out in the sun.
Forever they let me be,
as such, I just can't go on!
Sometimes I freeze for hours,
and often I am crushed.
As I stare at the flowers,
I wish I was just flushed.
How I hate the garbage can!
And even more, the ceiling fan.
Anything that ever ran,
and how my life began!

To determine which stanza has a different rhythm from the others, we can analyze the syllable counts for each stanza.
1. First stanza: 8 lines, varying syllable counts but generally follows a pattern.
2. Second stanza: 4 lines, generally consistent rhythm.
3. Third stanza: 4 lines, also maintains a consistent rhythm.
4. Fourth stanza: 4 lines, consistent but does not match the pattern of the others seamlessly.
Stanza 1 has a different number of lines compared to the others and also a more varied rhythm. However, stanzas 2, 3, and 4 all have 4 lines, making them more similar in structure.
Based on the number of lines and the rhythmic flow, the stanza that stands out is:
D. 1
So the correct answer is **D. 1**.
