The FITT principles are important guidelines to help you create an effective exercise plan. FITT stands for Frequency, Intensity, Time, and Type. Frequency refers to how often you exercise; for example, you could aim to work out three to five times a week. Intensity is about how hard you’re pushing yourself during your workouts—this could be measured by how fast you run or how much weight you lift. Time refers to how long you do your workouts; a good goal might be to exercise for at least 30 minutes at a time. Finally, Type describes the kind of exercises you choose, like running, swimming, or lifting weights. By considering these four principles, you can make sure your workout routine is well-rounded and effective for your fitness goals!
