Find the area of the parallelogram that has the vectors as adjacent sides.

u = i + 2j + 2k
V = i + k

I know that the magnitude of the cross product results on the area. After I do the cross product then what to I do?

wouldn't it be magnitude of u x V ? let that vector be W=ai + bj+ ck

magnitude W= sqrt(a^2+b^2+c^2)
