Ascending and descending order

1 answer

Ascending order means arranging numbers or items from the smallest to the largest. For example, the ascending order of the numbers 3, 1, 4, 2 would be 1, 2, 3, 4.

Descending order is the opposite, meaning arranging numbers or items from the largest to the smallest. Using the same example, the descending order of the numbers 3, 1, 4, 2 would be 4, 3, 2, 1.
