1)p-methylhexanoic acid
2)pentanoic acid
1)p-methylhexanoic acid
2)pentanoic acid
Answers
#2.
RCH2OH + KMnO4 ==> RCOOH
RCHO + KMnO4 ==> RCOOH
CH3CH2CH2CH2CH2OH and
CH3CH2CH2CH2CHO
I don't know what p-methyl hexanoic acid is. The only p I know of is para and this is not an aryl acid.
