How would I do this problem?

Verify that each equation is an identity.
cos^2x+tan^2xcos^2x=1

the ^2 is just saying squared.
ex.- cos^2x is cosine squared x

Expand tan(x) into sin(x)/cos(x) and use the identity
sin²(x)+cos²(x)=1.
