The traits that make a person a good voter include:

- interested in news
- is a member of a political party
- understands government

While owning property, paying federal taxes, and serving as a volunteer or in the armed forces can reflect certain civic responsibilities or engagement, they are not necessarily indicative of being a good voter. Good voters are generally characterized by their interest in current events, involvement in political parties, and understanding of government processes.
