Make a sketch of a pentagon.
Draw another identical pentagon slightly offset.
Join corresponding vertices.
You don't have to be an artist but it should look like a pentagonal prism.
Draw all hidden lines as dotted lines.

Count all edges, faces and vertices and see if Euler's formula applies.
