Homeostasis is the way our body keeps things balanced, like temperature and hydration. To investigate this, I will focus on how the body responds to changes in temperature.

**Variables**:
- **Independent Variable**: The temperature of the environment (for example, normal room temperature vs. hot temperatures).
- **Dependent Variable**: The heart rate of the organism (which could be a model organism like a small animal or even heart rate monitored in humans).

**Hypothesis Statement**: If the temperature of the environment changes, then the heart rate of the organism will change.

**Explanation**: I think that when the temperature gets hotter, the heart rate will increase. This happens because our bodies need to cool down, so the heart pumps faster to help regulate our internal temperature and keep everything balanced. By conducting this experiment, I hope to see if my hypothesis is supported and learn more about how our bodies work to maintain homeostasis!
