Question
Use the ideas of additive and multiplicative inverses to solve the following equation:
–7y + 12 = –2
–7y + 12 = –2
Answers
–7y + 12 = –2
-7y + 12 - 12 = -2 + (-12)
-7y = -14
y = 2
-7y + 12 - 12 = -2 + (-12)
-7y = -14
y = 2
Thank you Ms. Sue, for helping me with my problem.
You're very welcome, Tasa.
