how do particles react for solids liquids and gasses?

For solid the particles stay together you can compare that to best friends that stick together.
For Liquid the particles move and start going everywhere, compare that to friends.
For gas the particles move really fast and some go out because they are moving too fast why don't you compare that to enemies?
