A poster is to have an area of 170 in2 with 2 inch margins at the bottom and sides and a 3 inch margin at the top. What dimensions will give the largest printed area? (Give your answers correct to one decimal place.)

printed area= (L-5)(w-4)
where LW=170
or L= 170/W
printed area= (170/W -5)(W-4)
take the derivative, set equal to zero, solve.
