the info I have:
-balanced equation= (CuCl2*2H20)=>CuCl2+2H2O
-initial mass of copper compound: 0.94g

This is one type of stoichiometry problem; all of this kind are worked the same way.
Write the equation and balance it. You have that.
Convert 0.94 (if that is the starting material) to moles. moles = grams/molar mass
Using the coefficients in the balanced equation, convert moles CuCl2.2H2O to moles CuCl2. That's a 1:1 ratio.
Now convert moles CuCl2 to grams CuCl2. Grams = moles x molar mass. That will be the theoretical yield of CuCl2.
