I am having trouble finding anything to answer this question. Any help I would appreciate it!

Describe Darwin's Theory of Natural Selection and indicate why species are able to adapt to changes in their enviroment. Be sure to include a discussion of how "survival of the fittest" plays a role?

1 answer

Species do not adapt, that is the entire lesson Darwin gave us. Species develop random mutations, most are hurtful to the species survival. But a few actually help the species find more food, reproduce more,or something like that. Those mutated members if it has a positive effect, then reproduce, whilst the others die out.
