To identify two elements that have the same number of energy levels (or electron shells), we can look at their position in the periodic table. Elements in the same period (horizontal row) have the same number of energy levels.
For example:
- Sodium (Na) and Magnesium (Mg) both belong to the third period of the periodic table and hence have three energy levels.
- Carbon (C) and Nitrogen (N) both belong to the second period and have two energy levels.
In general, you can select any two elements from the same period to find those with the same number of energy levels.
