What type of extraction can be used to separate Hexane and a substance soluble in it?

The question really is too general for a comprehensive answer. An extraction can be done if you know a solvent in which the solute is soluble. Distillation (but I don't think that counts as an extraction) would be good. Evaporating the hexane would be good if hexane was not to be recovered.
