Why does the match have a higher temperature and lower heat (thermal) energy? simple short answer. 4th grade

A match has a higher temperature because the tiny particles inside it are moving really fast when it’s burning. But it has lower heat (thermal) energy because it doesn’t have a lot of those particles compared to something bigger like a pot of boiling water. So, even though the match is super hot, it doesn't hold as much heat energy as larger things.
